Hello World!

My new debit card arrived today - the old one was die to expire in September. This is what I'd been waiting for - I could now pre-order the extended Lord of the Rings DVDs.

Caillan and I have been combing online shops - both Austrailian for him and Brit for me - for months in anticipation of this release. But I still had a final check around the net before making my order.

Amazon UK listed the collector's edition at £32.78 - plus postage. I reckoned I could do better than that.

My favourite online DVD seller - the speediest and most reliable, in my experience, DVD Plus listed a price of £32.98. I've pre-ordered it from there, and I'm pretty confident that's around the best price I'll see the set for.

By way of comparison, the extended edition without the collector's box is offered at £21.95.

While I was there, I also ordered 'Evangelion: Death and Rebirth' that's due out at the end of next month. Can't wait for that one either. Here's to a cracking Autumn for DVD releases. :)
