Dorn, Sirtis Pursue 'The Deep Below'

Michael Dorn (Worf) plays a villain and Marina Sirtis (Troi) a troubled woman in The Deep Below, a thriller just released on DVD.

Zepper Pictures has a plot summary, trailer and photos (including one of Sirtis relaxing on the set of the film, which concerns a young man named Will (Veronica Mars' Jason Dohring) who witnessed his father and aunt murdered in a bank robbery and learns that the stolen money has never been recovered, since the town where the crime occurred was flooded after a dam created a lake on the site. Dorn plays the criminal, who is also intent on finding the money.

Sirtis plays the girlfriend of of Will's uncle, who raised him after his father's death and mother's subsequent breakdown. The film is directed by Rod Slane from a script by himself and Ami Neder. Part of the movie was filmed near Zepper Studios' home in Oklahoma.

Dorn and Sirtis played friends and lovers on Star Trek: The Next Generation and remained close after the series wrapped. Sirtis appeared in the 2002 TV movie Through the Fire, which Dorn directed.
