UPN has premiered the trailer for Star Trek: Enterprise's "United", which airs next Friday night.

In this second installment of a three-part story, written by Judith Reeves-Stevens & Garfield Reeves-Stevens from a story by Manny Coto, Archer tries to keep the peace on board Enterprise while Tucker and Reed attempt to outwit the mysterious beings who control the remote ship on which they are trapped. David Livingston directed the episode.

[T'Pol walks down a corridor.]
[Phlox opens a curtain in the medical bay.]
[A ship flies past a congregation of vessels from various planets.]

WITNESS STAR TREK HISTORY, THE BEGINNINGS OF THE FEDERATION.

[Text: 'STAR TREK HISTORY']
[The outline of the United Federation of Planets logo encircles the gathered ships.]
[T'Pol speaks to Archer in his ready room.]
T'Pol: "These four species have never cooperated."
Archer: "As far as I know, no one's ever tried to get them together before."
[Text: ALL NEW! STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE NEXT FRIDAY 8, 7c UPN]

BUT TO KEEP THE ALLIANCE TOGETHER, THERE WILL BE ONE SMALL SACRIFICE.

[Shran and two Andorians nod.]
[Gral looks surprised.]
Shran: "There will be bloodshed."
[Shran grabs Gral's hand and pours something into it.]
[Sato speaks to Archer in his ready room.]
Sato: "Basically it's a duel to the death."
[Shran sharpens a rounded blade.]
[T'Pol brings Archer an identical blade.]
T'Pol: "The combatants fight with these."
[Archer and Shran face each other in an empty bay, with witnesses from both their crews.]
Shran: "I'm going to have to kill you."
[Shran slashes at Archer with his blade.]
Archer: "Not today."
[Archer wounds Shran.]

[As Archer stabs at Shran, the fight fades into a star field.]
