After the recent announcements of former DS9 writers getting jobs on some major series, including Ron Moore on 'Roswell', Robert Hewitt Wolfe on 'Andromeda' and Rene Echevarria on 'Dark Angel', it now turns out Hans Beimler is currently working on the new CBS show 'The District'.

'The Distric' is a new crime drama starring Jack Mannion as Craig T. Nelson, the new police commisioner of Washington, D.C. Mannion is brought in "to overhaul an antiquated system ill-equipped to deal with the problems of a sprawling, crime-ridden city". He sets about doing this by selecting a group of promising officers to become his aides, who then set out to bring order to the capital again.

Beimler is serving as co-executive producer on the series, which wil be airing next year on Saturdays at 10:00pm. More info on the series can be found on the CBS Fall preview page. Thanks go out to Shaun Aki for this!
