Jamahl Epsicokhan at Star Trek: Hypertext has uploaded his review of 'Unimatrix Zero', this year's season finale for 'Voyager'. Unlike many of the other reviewers so far, Jamahl rather liked the episode, awarding it 3 out of 4 stars:

"Unimatrix Zero" is still well worth an hour. It has potential. It's an incomplete story, and as always I don't expect any big impact on our crew to come out of it (including for the three who are now Borg drones). But as an entertainment and a season-ender, it gets the job done.

In the full review, his last regular review of the season, Jamahl also talks about the added use of cliffhangers in season enders these days. Sometime in the summer, he will also be posting his season six recap.

Even more positive is Jim Wright at Delta Blues, who awards the episode 3.5 stars. He also talks about 'Unimatrix Zero' as a cliffhanger:

In the off chance that I'm simply too insightful for my own good and y'all are still on the edge of your seats wondering how this will turn out, I won't say more--and wild horses (or plaintive email) will not drag it out of me. Who knows; they could surprise us all in September/October and take this in a completely different direction. But from where I'm sitting now, the plot is manacled to a monorail with a GPS system stapled to its buttocks.

Not that this is necessarily a bad thing; fans in too much cliffhanger-induced suspense do strange things sometimes. I still remember the horrors of that summer of "Best of Both Worlds" punnery on CompuServe.

Don't get me wrong; I did enjoy "Unimatrix Zero." I was just shocked that they so deliberately telegraphed their intentions.

The full review of couse contains an analysis of the episode, and the usual huge synopsis.

Finally, Jim Wright has put up his review of 'The Haunting of Deck Twelve', which he awards 2.5 stars, after being "pretty much bored" by much of the episode.
