Although only ten episodes of Enterprise have aired, Scott Bakula (Jonathan Archer) seems to endeared himself to the American people.

Bakula was yesterday nominated in the category of 'Favourite Male Performer in a New Television Series' as part of the 28th Annual People's Choice Awards, Zap2it reported.

The actor is up against Damon Wayans, nominated for his series My Wife And Kids, and Jason Alexander, whose sitcom Bob Patterson was recently cancelled. Alexander portrayed Kurros in Voyager's 'Think Tank.'

Another Star Trek alumnus, Kelsey Grammer, who played Captain Morgan Bateson in TNG's 'Cause and Effect,' was nominated in the category of 'Favourite Male Television Performer' for his series Frasier.

Nominees were chosen by a random selection of viewers during a nationwide telephone poll. The eighteen categories cover various aspects of television, film and music.

The awards ceremony, hosted by Kevin James from The King of Queens, will air Sunday January 13 on CBS.

Further nominees can be found in the original Zap2it report. Thanks to Doug Wilson for this!
