Update May 2, 2003: Paramount Home Entertainment Netherlands has contacted TrekToday to inform us that the information given at the fan club meeting was incorrect and there are currently no plans for Enterprise or Voyager DVDs in Region 2. We sincerely apologise for the error.

The original article can still be found below:

Enterprise DVDs are currently being planned for release in overseas markets, a Paramount representative said recently.

Willem Goverde from Paramount Netherlands reportedly told the Netherlands Star Trek Fan Club the Enterprise European VHS line is being discontinued due to poor sales. Instead, Paramount intends to release the series on DVD in season box sets, similar to Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

There are currently plans for season one to be released in Europe (Region 2) at the end of 2003, Goverde told fan club members, though the exact street date has yet to be determined. Subsequent seasons will follow in similar box sets.

With Deep Space Nine DVDs already on the shelves, Paramount has started putting together their Voyager sets. Again, each season will be present in similar format to The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine, although there are no release dates available at this stage.

Please note that this information only applies to Europe (Region 2). There are currently no details on planned DVD releases of Enterprise in the United States or other parts of the world.

Thanks to Bert Cielen for this!
