Listed among the 2007 winners of the TV Guide Online Video Award was Star Trek: New Voyages.

As reported at Star Trek: New Voyages, the fan produced show has won a TV Guide Online Video Award, winning for "Best Sci-fi Webisodes," and beating out such contenders as Battlestar Galactica and The 4400. The full list of winners may be seen here.

"I am still shocked, amazed, and humbled that we were one of the four shows nominated, but to have actually won – what a great thrill," said executive producer James Cawley. "This award is dedicated to everyone who has worked so hard to make New Voyages a reality and to all the loyal fans who voted, because none of this could have happened without you."

In other New Voyages news, it was announced that the "To Serve All My Days" episode, which starred Walter Koenig as Chekov will be redone. The episode will be retrofitted with a more original series-like look. Star Trek visual effects professinals Doug Drexler and Daren R. Dochterman will work with James Cawley to replace the original effects with new original series-like digital effects. Music will also be redone and commercials true to the style of the 1960s will be added.

In addition to the updated effects and music, the show will be re-edited. Scenes will be cut and new ones added. Cawley declined to specify what scenes were changed, preferring to leave it to be a surprise for viewers.

The updated version of "To Serve All My Days" will be released on Christmas Day, 2007. The next episode, Blood and Fire is now in post-production and should be introduced in early 2008. Following Blood and Fire, a follow up episode titled "Rest and Retaliation" is scheduled to start in early spring.
