Decipher, the company behind the Star Trek Customizable Card Game, is set to release two official Roleplaying Game books this fall.

Each 256 pages long, the 'Star Trek RPG Player's Guide' and 'Star Trek RPG Narrator's Guide,' will be published in hardcover, according to the Decipher press release. They will contain information on alien species, characters, Federation history and technology as seen in the various television series.

As guides to Decipher's new roleplaying game system, the books will incorporate rules and parameters for portraying the various Star Trek characters. The new system claims to concentrate heavily on both characterization and drama.

Launched in 1983, Decipher has produced card games not only for the Star Trek franchise, but also 'Star Wars' and 'The Lord Of The Rings,' set to be released in November this year. In May, Decipher released the Voyager set, the latest addition to their Star Trek game.

The original press release can be found here. Thanks to Dr. Jonas Bashir for this!
