This year's Galaxy Ball, a fundraiser hosted by Voyager's Robert Beltran (Commander Chakotay) to raise money for Down Syndrome sufferers, will be held on November 10th at the Sheration Universal Hotel in Los Angeles.

Joining Beltran for the first time will be The Next Generation's Patrick Stewart (Jean-Luc Picard). Voyager stars Roxann Dawson (B'Elanna Torres), Robert Duncan McNeill (Tom Paris), Robert Picardo (The Holodoc) and Tim Russ (Tuvok) will also be attending the event. Further Trek stars are also expected to confirm their involvement, depending on prior commitments.

During the day, the stars will participate in a mini-convention, including question and answer and autograph sessions. The ball itself will be held in the evening, and will feature auctions of Star Trek memorabilia, a cabaret dinner and a dance party. Live music will be performed by Beltran's brother, Louie Cruz Beltran, and his orchestra.

Over the past four years, the event has raised over $60,000 for the Down Syndrome Association of Los Angeles (DSALA). This year's event will also benefit the charities of the other Trek stars attending the ball, including Half the Sky, The Wildwood School, Pediatric AIDS and the Wildlife WayStation.

Tickets will be available from the DSALA, starting September 4th. The mini-convention tickets will cost $50, and those for the dinner and dance, $125. Combined tickets will also be available, for $150. Thanks to Michael for this!
