De Lancie Goes Back To 'Andromeda'

John De Lancie (Q) will make an appearance in an episode of Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda next season.

De Lancie will reprise his role as Sam Profit in an episode titled 'Cui Bono?'. The episode was in production on the Andromeda lot in Vancouver last week.

The actor first appeared on the show as 'Uncle Sid' - a friend of the Andromeda first officer Beka Valentine, played by Lisa Ryder. Sid lured Beka into a trap in the first season episode 'The Pearls That Were His Eyes', where a sinister secret about his past with Beka's father was revealed. Lisa Ryder was nominated for a Gemini award for her performance in the episode.

'Cui Bono?' is a legal term, translated from the Latin as 'Who Benefits?' But the circumstances surrounding Sid's return to the show are being kept tightly under wraps. "I can tell you that you will NEVER figure out why Sid returns!!" wrote Andromeda creative executive Seth Howard at the Slipstream BBS.

The episode will be the third episode of Andromeda's third season to air. More information about the episode can be found in the original article at SlipstreamWeb.
