Worthy Has 'Eyes' For ABC Pilot

Star Trek: Enterprise recurring guest star Rick Worthy could have a regular gig next season.

Worthy, who appeared as the Xindi-Sloth council member this season, has been cast in the pilot of a new ABC drama series, Eyes, the Futon Critic reported. The show is set in a risk management corporation which "operates along the fringes of the law in order to affect the outcome of a host of civil and criminal matters".

Eyes will star Tim Daly (Wings) as the president of the firm, with My So Called Life's A.J. Langer as a new staffer. Worthy is set to play one of the corporation's investigators who ends up being investigated himself.

The series, to be produced by Warner Brothers Television, comes from scribe John McNamara. McNamara wrote for series such as Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman before becoming executive producer of the short-lived Fastlane.

Rick Worthy had a varied Star Trek career before landing the role of the Xindi Council member. He first appeared as Automated Personnel Unit 3947 in Voyager's "Prototype" and then went on to play Koman in Deep Space Nine's "Soldiers of the Empire". However, Worthy is probably best known for playing Crewman Noah Lessing in Voyager's two-part "Equinox" episode.

Production on the Eyes pilot began yesterday. The original news can be found at the Futon Critic.
