'Enterprise DVDs' photo - courtesy HMV.co.uk, copyright Paramount PicturesIs this the first glimpse of the Star Trek: Enterprise DVDs?

UK online retailer HMV.co.uk recently published this artwork on its web site with listings for the first four seasons of Enterprise to be released in Region 2. The image shows silver packaging with the Star Trek: Enterprise logo on the outside, with a blue insert containing the DVDs. A 12-page commemorative booklet with photos of the regular cast members appears next to the box.

Exact specifications for the box sets have not yet been released, but the season one package is reportedly slated to contain all twenty-six episodes across seven DVDs. The DVD set will also likely include behind-the-scenes featurettes and interviews with cast members in a similar manner to the releases of Star Trek, The Next Generation, Voyager and Deep Space Nine.

The first season DVD set is currently scheduled to be released in Region 2 (Europe) on May 9, 2005, and is available for pre-order from Amazon.co.uk for £63.74, 25% off the recommended retail price. Region 1 fans can pick up the box set a few days earlier on May 3, but Amazon.com is not yet offering the title for pre-order. Seasons two, three and four are scheduled to follow in June, August and October in Region 2, and July, September and November in Region 1.

Please be aware that this image has not been officially released by Paramount Home Entertainment, and until such time you should treat this as preliminary, unconfirmed artwork. The original picture can be found HMV.co.uk. Thanks to TrekWeb for this!
