Smith: 'Star Trek XI' Highlight Of Trek Film Series

After seeing Star Trek XI, Kevin Smith found it to be as enjoyable as his other favorite Star Trek movie.

As reported by Sci Fi Wire, Smith prefers the Star Trek movies to the televised series. "I can watch the movies again and again and again," he said "The TV is kind of sacrosanct for a lot of people, but I don't enjoy it as much as I enjoy the movies."

Star Trek XI is be the best Star Trek movie in many years, as far as Smith is concerned. "So this one I enjoyed probably the most since I've enjoyed, like, 'Wrath of Khan,'" he said.

Smith had praise for the performances of Chris Pine as Kirk and Zachary Quinto as Spock, as well as the rest of the crew. And the idea of a franchise reboot won a thumbs up from him. "I'm all for a reboot," he said, "because it just keeps it potentially alive longer.
