Whoopi Goldberg, best known to Star Trek fans as Guinan on Star Trek: The Next Generation, will be delivering the keynote address at the Staten Island Advance Women of Achievement Awards Luncheon.

As reported by SILive.com, Goldberg will be the featured speaker at the 47th annual awards luncheon, to be held on November 20th at the Hilton Garden Inn in Staten Island.

The yearly event honors community volunteers, who go above and beyond the call of duty. "Anytime I can be around people who do great things, I'm happy," said Goldberg through her publicist. "So to be invited to be in front of this amazing assembly is an honor I can't miss."

Goldberg joins a list of famous women who have been guest speakers in the past, including Barbara Walters, Dr. Ruth Westheimer, Senator Hillary Clinton and Katie Couric.
