  • Ain't It Cool News has reported on an unconfirmed rumour that a prequel Star Trek trilogy is in the works from Jordan Kerner of Inspector Gadget, without input from current execs Rick Berman or Brannon Braga and involving a young Kirk, Spock et al. Numerous people have sent in links to this story, but there are no other sources on the allegations and it should be treated as pure speculation.

  • An announcement at EZBoard for Warp 11 states that Trekkies 2 will be shown at the Newport Beach Film Festival on April 20th and that the band Warp 11, featured in the film, will play at a party afterward.

  • ABC has confirmed that William Shatner (Captain Kirk)'s contract for his guest appearances on The Practice includes an option for Shatner become a regular on the new spinoff series next season.

  • The Star Trek Book Club has announced upcoming chats with Dave Stern, author of Star Trek: Enterprise: Daedalus on March 30th and with John Vornholt, author of Star Trek: A Time To Die on April 26th.

  • Steven Culp (Major Hayes) and Natalia Nogulich (Admiral Necheyev) both appear in the new David Mamet film Spartan. Thanks to Darkhawk.

  • Totally Kate! has news about the canine actors who will appear in The Royal Family with Kate Mulgrew (Captain Janeway).

  • DVD File reports that Malcolm McDowell (Soran)'s The Company will be released on DVD on June 1st.

  • Monkee has reviewed "Azati Prime".

  • TrekPulse has uploaded screen caps from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
