According to online retailer Amazon, the various sets will hit stores in Region 1 (North America) on the following dates:

These release dates vary slightly from the rumoured release schedule published last month (story), with seasons six and seven now spread out over November and December, instead of both sets being released in December. The schedule is also similar to the previously reported Region 2 (Europe) timetable, with the North American sets hitting stores a few weeks earlier.

Each season box set will be in a similar format to the Star Trek: The Next Generation releases, which debuted last year. All episodes are presented in full-frame format with Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital 2.0 audio tracks, with extra features including interviews with the cast and crew and a look behind the scenes at production aspects such as special effects and makeup.
