'Enterprise Trading Card' - courtesy Psi Phi, copyright Paramount Pictures/ Rittenhouse Archives Soon you'll be able to carry the whole of the Enterprise Universe in your back pocket - in the form of trading cards, that is.

Rittenhouse Archives announced yesterday that they will produce the a series of trading cards based on the first season of the show. The cards will be released in stores on 18th September.

Available in packs of 9 cards which will sell for $2.00 each, the set will cover every episode of the debut season. Three cards will be produced to mark every episode, which will include a detailed synopsis. These will form the 81 base cards in the series.

More cards will cover the 'Aliens of Enterprise,' featuring memorable guest appearances by actors such as Dean Stockwell and Ethan Phillips. Additional subsets will cover 'the Enterprise crew,' 'First Contact,' '22nd Century Technology' and 'Suliban Genetic Engineering.'

There will be an additional surprise scattered in every box. Two autographed cards will be included from three different autograph subsets. Dominic Keating (Malcom Reed), John Billingsley (Phlox), Vaughn Armstrong (Admiral Forrest) and John Fleck (Silik) and many others have provided signatures.

Collectors keen to have a full set will be able to buy a box guaranteed to have all 81 base cards for $80.00. But those who want to try out the collection can apply for a limited free sample card (pictured above) from this page at the SciFi Hobby web site.

Full details of the Enterprise season one set, including a complete checklist of cards and a store to pre-order the series can be found by following this link SciFi Hobby.com. The original article about the cards can be found here at Psi Phi.
