John Logan's script for the next Trek feature 'Star Trek X: Nemesis' may be in production on the Paramount lot right now, but it's another Logan project that's attracting some big-name interest in the headlines.

Logan has penned the script for a biopic of dashing aviator and movie mogul Howard Hughes, which Variety today reported will have legendary director Martin Scorsese in the director's chair.

The as yet unnamed film will also star Leonardo DiCaprio, who worked with Scorsese on his latest project, 'The Gangs of New York.' Michael Mann will serve as producer for the film, that will start shooting in the Autumn.

The project is not the only Hughes biopic in the works; 'Memento director' Christopher Nolan is preparing another film, which will star Jim Carrey. It will be based upon last year's book 'Hughes: The Private Diaries, Memos and Letters'. This project, however, does not have a projected start-date.

John Logan's script will focus on the life of a young Howard Hughes, when he made his record-breaking feats in aviation and was a renowned media-mogul. It will not include the tycoon's formative years when he became a recluse.
