Daily Original Series Showings To Return

By Christian
December 24, 2000 - 12:54 AM

Half a year after the Sci-Fi Channel cancelled its daily repeats of the Original Series in favour of occasional mini-marathons as part of its Intergalacticland and Creatureland themes, they will be returning to the cable channel again in January.

Beginning on the 2nd of January, when the station will show 'The Man Trap', the Original Series will air every weekday at 5:00pm Eastern Time. The show replaces 'Xena: Warrior Princess', which will be ending its first run of daily repeats on the 28th of December.

In addition to this, the Sci-Fi Channel will still be airing its usual special Star Trek featurs. On Christmas Day, 'Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country' will air at 8:00pm Eastern Time, while on the 29th of December there will be a 24-hour long Star Trek Chain Reaction. In 2001, there will be Intergalacticland mini-marathons on both the 3rd and the 24th of January, and another 12-hour Chain Reaction on the 19th of February.
