Nana Visitor (Major Kira) will appear this week on television's most successful series, and has a new TV movie in the works.

CSI Files has posted that Visitor will appear in "Mea Culpa", the Thanksgiving Day episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation on Thursday night. She will play a character named Mrs. Katz in the story of a murder case reopened to study new forensic evidence when Gil Grissom finds a previously overlooked fingerprint on a piece of evidence.

The episode was written by executive producer Carol Mendelsohn and co-executive producer Josh Berman. In addition to Visitor's guest turn, the episode will feature Hidalgo star Louise Lombard along with David Berman and Aisha Tyler. More details are available in the CSI Files Episode Guide.

In addition, Variety (via Yahoo!) reports that Visitor is filming a backdoor pilot, Wildfire, for Lions Gate Television. The telefilm centers on a teenager played by Genevieve Cortese, just released from a detention center, whose skill with horses enables her to work toward improving her life and prospects.

Steve Miner will direct the film, which started shooting today in New Mexico. Other cast members include Micah Alberti, Andrew Hoeft, Greg Serano, Ryan Sypek, Nicole Tubiola and Dennis Weaver.

Plans are in place to create a television series from the pilot if it is successful. Since Deep Space Nine concluded its run, Visitor has been featured as a recurring character on FOX's Dark Angel and has toured with the musical Chicago among other projects.

"Mea Culpa" airs on CBS tomorrow night at 9 p.m. Eastern time. Thanks to Nanavision for the Wildfire news.
