Brent Spiner (Data) spoke about appearing on Star Trek: Enterprise, Roxann Dawson (B'Elanna Torres) had to cancel a convention appearance in part because she planned to direct an episode, and rumours of a new captain's chair and the possible appearance of Orion Slave Girls on the series surfaced.

Yahoo! reported on Spiner's return to televised Star Trek after a ten-year absence, in which the actor will play the the great, great grandfather of Data's creator, Dr. Soong. "I look like me," Spinder said, stating that wearing yellow contact lenses on Star Trek: The Next Generation for 16-20 hours a day was difficult.

Though he had not yet seen the final script for his three-episode guest stint, Spiner said that he survived the first two weeks, "and I'm told I live in a third."

Dawson, who will direct two episodes of Crossing Jordan, has also committed to helm an Enterprise episode beginning September 14th, according to RoxannDawson.net.

Unfortunately this has made it necessary for Dawson to cancel her planned appearance at the Galileo 7 convention in Germany. However, she sent a letter to the fans which can be downloaded from the Galileo 7 web site.

Save Enterprise has a few exclusive tidbits about the upcoming season of Enterprise as well, revealing that one of Spiner's episodes, originally titled "CS-12", has been renamed "C-12". It will be the fifth episode of the fourth season.

Save Enterprise also reports that Orion Slave Girls will appear in an upcoming scene in an alien marketplace. In the episode "Home", the NX-01 goes into drydock to undergo repairs from the Expanse and leaves one episode later as "a fully regenerated starship in tip top shape", with Captain Archer receiving a new captain's chair.
