Roxann Dawson (B'Elanna Torres), who has become a stalwart member of Star Trek: Enterprise's directing team, has been tapped to helm an episode of a more down-to-earth television series.

Dawson will direct an episode of NBC's forensic drama, Crossing Jordan, according to her official web site. The instalment is slated to air as the third episode of the show's 2004-2005 season, which will air sometime in September or October. Crossing Jordan stars Jill Hennessy as a medical examiner with a penchant for stepping outside her jurisdiction and solving the crimes herself.

The actress, who had a recurring role on the now-axed legal series, The Lyon's Den, will step in front of the camera for an episode of another popular crime series. Dawson will appear in the season finale of CBS's Thursday-night drama, Without a Trace, which centres on an FBI missing persons unit. The episode will air Thursday, May 20 at 10:00 p.m. on CBS. It is not yet know what part Dawson's character will play in the instalment.

"E²", Dawson's latest Enterprise episode, will be shown on May 5. Her most recent directorial effort for The Division, entitled "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep", is also slated to air soon, though the exact date has not been made available as yet.
