'Cogenitor' Trailer Released

'Cogenitor' - courtesy StarTrekkie.com, copyright Paramount PicturesUPN last night premiered the promo for "Cogenitor", the first Enterprise outing of May sweeps.

Written by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga, the episode centres around the Vissians, a race which requires three genders to mate. "Cogenitor" was directed by Star Trek: The Next Generation's LeVar Burton and features Andreas Katsulas (Babylon 5, Tomalak in TNG) as the Vissian captain.

UPN NEXT WEDNESDAY

[Text: 'Next Wednesday']
[Archer approaches three Vissians sitting at a table, and shakes the hand of the Vissian captain.]

AN ALIEN RACE GIVES A WHOLE NEW MEANING TO CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND

[Calla walks through the Enterprise, accompanied by Reed.]
[Calla traces her finger along Reed's lower lip.]
[Reed and Calla stand face to face.]
[Perched on all fours, Reed and Calla look into each other's eyes.]
Calla: "Maybe we could sleep together."
[Reed hits his head on a tube above him.]

THEY NEED THREE TO MATE!

[Whimsical music kicks in.]
[Shot of a smiling Vissian woman.]
[Trip looks across to his side to another Vissian woman.]
[The Vissian woman looks back at him.]
[A confused Trip sits in sickbay having a heart to heart with Dr. Phlox.]
Trip: "I'm pretty familiar with how it works with two sexes, but..."
[Dr. Phlox butts in with a little too much enthusiasm.]
Phlox: "Oh, well..."
[Cut to shot of Phlox by the medical scanner.]
Phlox: "I have...pictures!"

A PROVOCATIVE ALL-NEW ENTERPRISE

[A puzzled Archer looks across the bridge.]
[T'Pol turns away from her work with a quizzical expression.]
