Even though I've never been more than one time zone away from the Netherlands, I'm sure that when I do ever go on a longer flight, the jetlag will absolutely kill me. Europe went into summer time this weekend, and as every year, just having this one hour removed from the day has completely messed up my biological clock. Every year I promise to myself to keep next year's changing weekend relatively free so I can adjust in peace, but then this year I again had a family visit planned, so I had to get up relatively early.
In addition, it is literally only as I type this that I realise I am a complete and utter idiot, as I actually went into a summertime a day before the rest of the country. During the family visit, I was already wondering why my relatives hadn't changed the time on their clocks, but of course that's because summer time goes into effect tonight rather than yesterday night. This is unbelievable - finally a year in which I think of moving the clock an hour in the right direction, and I do it on the wrong day. Sigh. I think I'll just go to bed and not get out of it anymore until we move back to proper time again.
