'Enterprise' To Feature Recurring Characters

The seven main Enterprise crew members won't be the only people bumping heads on the NX-01's low bulkheads, as the series will also feature several minor recurring characters, according to a new report posted online today.

Included in this group of additional crew members will be Nurse Nancy Struthers, according to an article in the latest edition of the U.K. science fiction magazine SFX (via EnterpriseUK.tv).

Although Struthers is the only minor character whose name and job description is currently known, there will be a set of four or five regular extras who will appear from time to time on the series. These roles will probably be similar in size to the character of Ayala on Voyager, but there is a possibility that they may have more prominent parts to play.

The magazine's on-set source also talked briefly about the Enterprise budget, stating that it seemed "closer to a small feature than a normal episode." The sets are described as "truly opulent," and some, including a spaceport set, were constructed solely for the pilot episode, 'Broken Bow.'

Please note that these details have not yet been confirmed by Paramount and should be treated as you would any rumour. The full article can be found in the latest issue of SFX, out now. Alternatively, a transcript of the report, which also includes some behind-the-scenes photos, can be found here at EnterpriseUK.
