Contrary, strangely enough, to what Paramount director of interactive product development Harry Lang announced last week, the official Star Trek site is reporting that production on 'Unimatrix Zero, Part Two' officialy began today, the 22nd of June.

According to the site, the season premiere was originally scheduled to start filming on the 20th of June, but was pushed back by two days due to scheduling problems. The first cast members who had to report for duty today were Robert Picardo (the Holodoc) and Ethan Phillips (Neelix), whose makeup call was actually for 5:45am.

The full article, besides shortly describing the start of this season's production, also mentions that 'Unimatrix Zero, Part Two' will be directed by veteran 'Voyager' director Mike Vejar.

Meanwhile, according to a post on the TrekWeb message boards by John Ewald, Voyager staff writer Bryan Fuller said that the season premiere of the series will air sometime in October.
