Nana Visitor will be playing Pamela Voorhees, the mother of the murderous Jason from the Friday the 13th movies.

As reported by screengeeks.com, Visitor will meet a gory end. "I'll be in it just long enough to be decapitated, get my fingers cut off, and have him cradling my head," she said.

Preparing for her role was a bit of a horror in itself. "The preparation is having plastic poured on your head and getting the mold made," explained Visitor, "which is not an experience I would recommend. It's certainly not a spot treatment, especially for a claustrophobic. It is no fun. That is really the preparation, I would say. [As for] being kind of insane, that is not a stretch for me. That part is not hard."

Visitor reminisced about her days on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The first indication that her life would never be the same was after the first press conference for the cast. "We did our first press appearance," explained Visitor, "and we were on the set and we filed out and all of a sudden there were it seemed like a million flashbulbs going off, cameras going off and filming and it was almost oppressive, the attention, and I went 'Oh my God, I've never felt this before, this may be different.'"

Something different was pretending to be intimate with a shape-changing alien. "I remember when Odo kind of vaporized himself and it was a scene of Kira and Odo making love. The only way you can make love to someone who liquefies, and you know it was just me and the camera was going around and around and it was maybe slightly disturbing to the crew, it was very bizarre."

Also bizarre were the requests from Star Trek fans. "I was asked to sign a six-month-old baby," said Visitor. "I'm so ashamed to say that yes, I did. I signed that baby. It wasn't on the body. It was on the diaper."
