"The nice thing about working in science fiction, the fans are so faithful and will watch us in other things we do," said Chase Masterson (Leeta), who hopes that fans will watch her and Robert Beltran (Chakotay) in the new Sci-Fi Channel movie Manticore when it debuts this weekend.

Speaking to The Huntsville Times, Masterson called Deep Space Nine "a dream job" and said that working on Star Trek has allowed her to land other jobs. "God has really blessed me," she noted.

Masterson, who was named one of the 50 sexiest women of 2004 by Femme Fatales, plays a reporter in Iraq who discovers in Manticore that an ancient Persian "weapon of mass destruction" is real. Beltran plays a US officer trying to fend off the creature.

Sci Fi has launched an official web site for the film, featuring a trailer that shows both Beltran and Masterson. The film also stars Heather Donahue.

Manticore premieres Saturday, November 26th at 9 p.m. Eastern time. Masterson has spoken previously about the film here.
