Over at About.com's Star Trek Fans, Julia Houston has put up her review of 'Free Enterprise', the independent comedy featuring William Shatner (James T. Kirk) as himself. Julia seemed to moderately like the film:

Really fun premise, so-so film.

I sometimes think Americans have simply forgotten how to make comedies. With our current obsession with "blockbuster" films, filmmakers seem to think that all movies should try to do all that movies can do. As a farce and as a look at the way Trekkers, Trekkies, and the rest of "those people" act, Free Enterprise works just fine. It even has moments of true insight and a pass or two at transcendence.

But as a romance, it's a snore, and it's more romance than farce.

More can be read in the full review. Also up at About.com is a new list, Things Janeway Signs Without Looking.
