The E3 Entertainment Exhibition is over for another year, but Trek fans were shown plenty at the exhibition to whet their appetites about up and coming Star Trek gaming Attractions.

  • A look at the Trek Games on show at the Activision stand at E3 is online now at Game Spy including Star Trek Bridge Commander, Armada II and Borg Assimilator. Little is know yet about the latter, which is expected to be released some time in the Winter.

What's cool about this product is players have never gotten the opportunity to experience what it's like to really be the Borg. We've only seen them on television and in films. With Borg Assimilator, players are able to create a Borg world and make it survive. In order to survive, it needs to absorb other alien races in the universe such as Romulans, Klingons, and of course, Federation humans.

More about Borg Assimilator and the other games can be found by following this link to Game Spy.

  • A preview and four new screen shots of 'Star Trek: Bridge Commander' are available here at IGN. The site says the title is "Looking good, even at this stage."

  • An interview with Activision's Senior Producer Parker Davis all about 'Bridge Commander' is also available at IGN. "We knew that we would have to provide a lot more variety in the missions," said Davis. "Make no mistake, this is a space combat simulator, but there is a lot more to our missions than simple combat." More of the interview in which he talks about the game, and the involvement of Patrick Stewart and Brent Spinner can be found here at IGN.

  • A preview of the game is now online at the Adrenaline Vault.

  • Another interview, this time with 'Bridge Commander' developer Totally Games' Larry Holland is online here at The Bridge. The original interview in German can be found here.

  • Well Rounded Entertainment has six new screen shots of the game posted here on its web site.

  • Finally for 'Bridge Commander' GameSpot has a hands on look at the game, and now has a grand total of 53 screen shots online. The preview contains the news that Totally Games has decided to scrap the multi player aspects in the game, to focus on the single player missions. More on this can be found in the rest of the article, here at GameSpot.

  • A preview of 'Star Trek: Armada II' is online now here at IGN. The feature also includes four screen shots of the upcoming Activision title.

  • Seven new screen shots of the game are also available here at the Well Rounded Entertainment site.

  • Giancarlo Varani at Gamespot has an in-depth preview of 'Armada II' online. He said:

It's obvious that the developers want to make Armada II much better than the previous game. They've improved upon many of the game's features and added new ones that make the game much more entertaining. Even the graphics have received some subtle improvements--many of the new ships have a very high level of detail when the camera is zoomed in close on the action.

A full release of the game is expected in the Winter. The complete analysis and screen shots can be found here at GameSpot.

  • Footage of the Armada II introduction movie and an interview from E3 can be found here via the Planet Star Trek Armada web site.

  • The Bridge has been updated with brand new content on 'Bridge Commander' in light of E3. A ten minute movie showing game footage is available here, 29 over-sized screen shots can be found here and a review of all the E3 happenings all about the game can be found by following this link to the Bridge.

  • A preview of the new mission pack for 'Starfleet Command,' 'Orion Pirates' is available here at IGN.

  • Gamespot has a preview of the new Deep Space Nine strategy game 'Deep Space Nine: Dominion Wars' available here on its web site.

  • A review of Activision's latest PC Trek strategy game, 'Star Trek: Away Team' is online now at 3D Gaming Daily. The game is awarded an impressive 4 marks out of a possible five, and described as a "solid and fun experience," impressing the reviewer with its voice acting straight out of the Next Generation cast.

  • Meanwhile, GameSpy has posted a review of the 'Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force' Expansion pack. "Trekkies will drool at the chance to explore the U.S.S. Voyager in this small but quality add-on," the review said. The pack received a score of 75 and the full review can be found here at GameSpy.
