  • LeVar Burton (Geordi La Forge) has won a Daytime Emmy for his work on the PBS children's series, Reading Rainbow. Burton, the host of the show, was honoured as "Best Performer in a Children's Series." The series also won for "Best Single Camera Editing," raising the show's Emmy total to 15. "I'm thrilled to have won the Emmy this year," Burton said, "but I'm even more delighted that Reading Rainbow's mission of bringing books to children has again been recognized."   • A review of Warren Leight's play, 'Side Man,' currently playing in Los Angeles, is now online, courtest of Variety.The play was directed by Andrew J. Robinson (Garak) and stars Ethan Phillips (Neelix) and J.D. Cullum (Toral in TNG's 'Redemption'). "Director Andrew J. Robinson and an excellent ensemble achieve an evocative aura of time and place in this comically tragic tale of sublimely innocent souls who lose themselves within the walls of their own artistry," wrote reviewer Julio Martinez in the full article.

  • David E. Sluss (aka The Cynic) has updated his site with two new Voyager reviews. First up is 'Friendship One,' which Sluss awarded a 6.5/10, while also new is the review of 'Natural Law', which Sluss awarded a 5/10.

  • The Official Scarlett Pomers homepage has added a collection of photos of Pomers in Australia, where she is currently filming 'A Ring Of Endless Light' for the Disney Channel. The snapshots can be found here.

  • Jeffrey Combs (Weyoun) will be appearing in the final batch of Freakylinks episodes, starting June 1st. Combs plays a Coroner in the first episode, entitled 'Live Fast, Die Young.' Be sure to check TV Guide for your local area listings. Thanks to Holly Kim Wilson for this!

  • The film 'How Harry Became A Tree,' an Irish period piece starring Colm Meany (Chief O'Brien) is set to be announced as part of the line-up for the 58th International Venice Film Festival. More details can be found here.

  • According to a new report by TN Media, Star Trek: Voyager is the UPN show with the highest household median income. At the same time, UPN is the network with the lowest median income for viewers, at only $43,400, compared to NBC's $63,300.

  • Elizabeth White of Media Life Magazine has posted an article about UPN's Fall line-up. "UPN’s biggest problem over the past couple of years has been its identity," White wrote. "It had none. [...] The problem isn't being solved by UPN’s new fall schedule. But that's not to say it is not being addressed, and in an interesting way."

  • Totally Kate! has been updated with a transcript and some photos of Kate Mulgrew's recent appearance on The Late, Late Show with Craig Kilborn.
