Jeri Ryan 'Elite Force' Confusion

Yesterday, I reported about a new preview at IGN PC, in which it was mentioned that all the Voyager cast members would be providing voice-overs for 'Voyager: Elite Force', with the exception of Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine). Naturally this would be a great disappointment for Trek fans, considering how important Seven is for Voyager. However, now it seems Ryan's lack of involvement with the game may not be completely ruled out.

Immediately following the news item, a TrekToday reader posted a message about this to Raven Software's official 'Voyager: Elite Force' discussion board. Strangely enough, after a short while his post was deleted, and so were several other posts about the subject. In addition, some of the people who posted these messages were apparently mailed by people from the BBS asking, as one reader put it, "to be hush hush about it".

I sent off an email to Raven to ask about clarification, who referred me on to Activision. Here's what Activision's Brand Manager Laird Malamed had to say about the issue:

Sorry, I cannot comment on Jeri Ryan's involvement in STVEF.

The posts were removed from the message board because the information was inaccurate.

Of course, this has made me even more curious. Does this mean Ryan's involvement is not completely ruled out, as in that case they could simply state so? On the other hand, it might also be possible that Ryan really won't be involved with the game, in which case Activision might not want to attract too much attention to this. It'll be interesting to see how this turns out.
