One of Star Trek's most frightening foes, the Borg, will be the centre of an upcoming 3-D theme park ride, entitled 'Borg Encounter.'

Actress Alice Krige told the Sci-Fi Wire she recently transformed herself into the Borg Queen for the attraction, which is being created for a theme park in Germany and 'Star Trek: The Experience' in Las Vegas.

"The people who did the Terminator ride for Universal are in the process of completing this ride, and the process is even more sophisticated and intricate and complex now," she said. "So I got to do the Borg Queen in 3-D."

The finished attraction will feature two other familiar Star Trek faces, with Robert Picardo and Kate Mulgrew reprising their respective Star Trek: Voyager roles of the EMH and Kathryn Janeway. "Bob sets it all up and goes throughout, while Kate makes a very brief appearance at the end," Krige said.

The full interview can be found here at the Sci-Fi Wire. Thanks to Lee Jamilkowski for this!
