City Hall Filming of Star Trek XI Wraps

Some city hall employees were given the rare privilege of observing the Star Trek XI filming in the City Council Chamber.

In an article posted by the Press-Telegram, the scenes filmed at the Long Beach City Hall completed last week after several days of filming.

As noted earlier, secrecy was the order of the day. For a few lucky staffers, including the City Manager Pat West, the chance to see some of the filming in the City Council Chambers was offered, once they had signed non-disclosure forms to ensure that no details of the filming would be released.

During the filming, the regular business of the Long Beach municipal government had to continue. To hide from the ever-present paparazzi, and to keep details of the filming and uniforms under wraps, actors covered themselves with blankets when going in and out of City Hall.
