Though the Enterprise premiere 'Broken Bow' won't air for another 6 days yet, UPN has released the first official information on 'Fight or Flight' - the series' second episode.

The official description of the episode is available online thanks to Psi Phi, reading:

"As they continue their deep space exploration, the NX-01 crew comes across an alien ship where they discover 15 humanoid corpses that seem to have been part of a scientific experiment. The horrific sight inspires Hoshi to panic and demand a return to Earth, but Archer insists on continuing the mission and finding out more about the abandoned dead. Trouble comes calling when the aliens that were conducting the gruesome experiments return and begin attacking Captain Archer and his team."

The episode was written by series creators Rick Berman & Brannon Braga. It was directed by Allan Kroeker whose last work on Star Trek was seen in the Voyager finale, 'Endgame.'

Previous rumours about this episode have indicated that it will include a conflict between Archer and T'Pol. It was described as a 'Good, somewhat creepy episode.'

Recent comments by Hoshi Sato actress Linda Park would also seem to refer to this episode. "She decides actually that she is not cut out for space. She considers telling the captain that she wants to go back to the University. There's a lot that happens during that episode. It's a really nice turning point early on in the series where she can finally accept space. She has to swallow her fear and force herself to grow. The director was amazing, Alan Kroeker. People will be blown away. And there's some really creepy scary stuff in this episode." (story)

More details about this episode are available in the original report at Psi Phi. 'Fight or Flight' is set to air on UPN on October 3rd.
