'Enterprise' Event Promo UPN aired its final new Enterprise promo yesterday, liberally making use of completed special effects footage. This included the first look at the Enterprise in motion.

The new 30-second promo premiered yesterday during UPN's final-ever Voyager showing, a repeat of the two-hour 'Endgame' episode. The trailer ran for thirty seconds, and included both new dialogue and several scenes containing visual effects, culminating in a shot of the Enterprise going to warp. As usual, the clip is available for download at several sites, but first here you'll find a transcript for those with less bandwidth to spare:

EVERY LEGEND HAS A BEGINNING

[Text: 'Every Legend']
[Flashes of Captain Archer.]
[The Klingon Klaan slowly moving his head on his sickbed.]
[Close-up on Admiral Leonard and Commander Williams.]
Leonard: "It's a Klingot."
[Tos, with T'Pol in the background.]
Tos: "A Klingon."

EVERY GENERATION HAS A NEW DAWN

[Text: 'Every Generation']
[External view of an alien planet.]
Mayweather (off-screen): "They claim it's safe."
[Close-up on someone operating the transporter controls while an object is materialising.]
[Travis Mayweather and Malcolm Reed look at the transporter pad.]
Reed: "I don't think I'm quite ready to have my molecules compressed into a data stream."
[Close-up on Reed.]
[Hoshi Sato, Tucker and T'Pol look at a forcefield being lowered.]
[Reed walks on.]

EVERY VOYAGE HAS A FIRST STEP

'Enterprise' Event Promo [Text: 'Every Voyage']
[A large group of (Suliban?) ships]
[Archer in the captain's chair.]
Archer: "You can't afraid of the wind, ensign."
[A ship explodes.]
T'Pol: "Now!"

THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF THE STAR TREK SAGA

[An explosion inside what looks to be the temporal chamber, while Archer stands near the door with a weapon.]
[A lift shaft, with a lift heading the camera's way.]
[An Enterprise away team can be seen inside the lift.]
[Someone is thrown far in the air.]
[Archer in the captain's chair again.]
Archer: "We're going in."
[Two ships firing at each other.]
[Sato is thrown over her console, screams.]
[An alien is flying through space.]
[Sato, in a spacesuit, is screaming again.]
[Archer just avoids a laser blast.]
T'Pol: "Maybe they're not interested in visitors.]
[Archer is firing back.]
[T'Pol looks at Archer.]
[Archer, standing in the Ready Room, looks angrily at her.]
Archer: "Take your Vulcan cynicism and bury it."
[Sato and other Enterprise crewmembers are epxloring, with the help of a flashlight.]

SCOTT BAKULA

[Archer, wearing his NX-01 hat, looks up.]
Archer: "Let's go."

ENTERPRISE. THE TWO-HOUR SERIES PREMIERE.

'Enterprise' Event Promo [The Enterprise goes into warp.]

The new trailer will likely be shown on UPN more over the coming week, but has also been made available for download on several internet sites. Mr. Video Productions has a 5.7 MB MPEG version available, while Trek5.com has the video in QuickTime Format.

'Enterprise' Event Promo In addition to the new 30-second trailer, UPN also made available several shorter videos to its affiliates. Some of these were so-called 'countdown' videos, briefly telling viewers how many days are still left until the 'Broken Bow' premiere. This trailer featured a short shot of the Enterprise leaving spacedock, which is shown here to the left. These videos can also be downloaded at Vidiot.
