No 'Final Chapter' For Voyager

When 'Star Trek: Deep Space Nine' ended, it was given a 10-episode Final Chapter, wrapping up many of that show's character arcs. Judging from several newly released episode plots, it seems the 'Star Trek: Voyager' arc will have to be given closure in just the two-hour finale episode.

Available now at TrekWeb is the first plot info on the final four regular episodes of season seven, which are expected to air in late April and May. As you can see, they do not seem to have much in common with each other or with the Voyager homecoming arc:

  • 'Friendship One' might actually be connected to the question of Voyager's homecoming, as it deals with the ship finding a probe from Earth.

  • In 'Natural Law', Chakotay and Seven of Nine are stranded in a primitive alien habitat.

  • 'Destiny' sees Neelix trying to rescue a colony of besieged Talaxians.

  • 'Renaissance Man', the last episode before the finale, is described as possibly being a light entry. In it, the Doctor must go incognito to save Captain Janeway.

No details were yet available on the series finale, which is of course now also rapidly approaching. With just three months left before the final episode airs, hopefully the first plot info on that will surface soon as well.
