  • Leonard Nimoy will appear Saturday, October 21st in Santa Clarita at Congregation Beth Shalom to present his multimedia show Shekhina.

  • Speaking of Nimoy, a new web site, Maiden Wine, covers Nimoy's singing career.

  • Issue #2 of the new Star Trek Magazine is a Voyager special that includes an interview with Kate Mulgrew in which she speaks about how Captain Janeway would have been different if Mulgrew had played Katharine Hepburn in Tea at Five first. Thanks to Totally Kate!

  • TrekMovie.com interviewed producer Dave Rossi about some of the expected changes to the original series in the remastered episodes.

  • TrekMovie.com also interviewed the people who rerecorded the Trek theme music for the remastered original series episodes. "I even made my own tribbles," said soprano Elin Carlson.

  • In other Trek music news, Beyond Antares has an interview with Karl V. Miller, captain of the band Warp 11.

  • Backstage reports that Star Trek XI producer J.J. Abrams will present a Casting Society of America Artios Award on November 1st at the Beverly Hilton.

  • The College of Lake County in Grayslake, Illinois will offer a class called "Social Problems: The Star Trek Edition" starting this January, discussing Star Trek's solutions to social problems. For more information, please call John Tenuto at 847-543-2537.

  • Soul of Star Trek reflects on the annivsary celebration in Seattle and his experiences meeting several of the actors.

  • The new web site Science Fiction Corner has a Star Trek section.

  • Bethesda Softworks has announced the minimum specifications for the PC version of Star Trek: Legacy. They are:

    • Windows XP (Home, Media Center or Pro Editions) with Service Pack 2
    • DirectX Version 9.0c
    • Intel Pentium 4 (2.66ghz or higher) or AMD Athlon XP 2800+ or higher
    • DX9 compatible AGP 8X or PCI Express video card, 128 MB VRAM, Pixel Shader 1.4
    • 16-bit Direct Sound compatible sound card, speakers or headphones required for audio
    • 512 MB RAM
    • 5 GB free space
    • LAN or Broadband connection (DSL or Cable Modem) for Multiplayer
