Jolene Blalock (T'Pol) will remove her Vulcan ears to play the female lead in Slow Burn, a thriller starring actor Ray Liotta and rapper LL Cool J.

Blalock has been cast as an assistant district attorney who manipulates the D.A., played by Liotta, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The GreeneStreet Films and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment film, written and directed by Wayne Beach of Murder at 1600, is scheduled to begin shooting next month in Montreal.

Veteran casting director Bonnie Timmermann, one of the film's producers, said that Blalock "lit up the screen" at her audition. "I felt the same way I felt when I was reading Julia Roberts for Miami Vice," she said.

Since Enterprise's shooting dates coincide at least in part with the film's, it is not known how Blalock's schedule may be changed to accomodate both.
