Frakes Talks Trek In Online Chat

By Christian

Yesterday evening at 9:00pm Eastern Time, following the broadcast of 'Beyond Belief' on Fox, the network's official site organised a chat with host Jonathan Frakes (William T. Riker). The full transcript will be available at the site on Monday, but Section 31 has already posted some of Fraker's Trek-related responses. Here are three:

SciFiGal: "Will hi wife ever appear in any of the Star Trek movies?"

Frakes: Another good question! I certainly hope so. We were lucky enough to have Genie Francis appear in our final episode of Roswell last season.

"Will you be in Star Trek X?"

Frakes: If asked, I'll be there in any capacity they'll have me. In Star Trek 10, from what I hear, is still in development stage. Although I think we're all hoping to have another chapter of our franchise by x-mas of 2001.

CapnBiggles: Do you consider yourself as indelible a character in the Star Trek genre as Kirk now?

Frakes: I should be so lucky, Kirk got way more women than Riker even thought about.

More answers, including one on his non-Trek directing career, can be found in the full report.
