It's Official: Goldsmith To Score 'Nemesis'

Veteran composer Jerry Goldsmith today was officially confirmed as the composer for 'Star Trek X: Nemess'

According to a report in Film Score Monthly, the 73-year old seasoned Trek composer will be scoring his fifth Trek movie. Goldsmith also provided the music for the previous two ext Generation films.

A prolific composer, Goldsmith has over 260 film and TV scores to his name, including some of the most memorable themes of our time. He's responsible for 'The Twilight Zone,' 'Alien' 'Poltergeist' and 'Total Recall.'

Goldsmith worked with Nemesis director Stuart Baird on his last two movies, providing the scores for 'Executive Decision' and 'U.S. Marshals.' 'Nemesis' will be his fifth Trek feature film; having previously provided the score for 'Star Trek: The Motion Picture,' 'Star Trek V: The Final Frontier,' 'Star Trek: First Contact' and 'Star Trek: Insurrection.' Goldsmith also wrote the Emmy award winning Voyager theme, and the Next Generation main title.
