Former Voyager actor Tim Russ (Tuvok) has been directing several new projects recently.

Russ helmed an episode of the Discovery Channel series FBI Files. His instalment, episode #1683, centres around a bank robber and kidnapper. The top-rated regular Discovery Channel programme, FBI Files has "gone behind the scenes of major investigations since 1998, revealing the bureau's forensic techniques and investigative grit."

The 1999 Oklahoma tornado is the subject of the actor's other recent project, episode #2307 of the Discovery Channel's Critical Rescue. The episodes of FBI Files and Critical Rescue are both expected to air in spring 2003.

Russ previously directed the episode 'Living Witness' in Voyager's fourth season. In addition to his seven years as Tuvok on Voyager, the actor appeared in and co-wrote the independent film 'East of Hope Street,' which won Best Urban Drama at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival in 1998.
