The soundtrack for 'Star Trek Nemesis' will hit music stores next month ahead of the film's theatrical release.

Varese Sarabande will release Jerry Goldsmith's score for the tenth Trek feature film on November 26, according to the label's web site.

Academy Award-winner Goldsmith composed the scores for 'Star Trek: The Motion Picture' (nominated for an Oscar), 'Star Trek V: The Final Frontier,' 'Star Trek: First Contact,' 'Star Trek: Insurrection,' and the Emmy-winning Star Trek: Voyager theme. According to the record label's promotional description, the 'Nemesis' music is the composer's best score since 'The Motion Picture.'

"The score for 'Nemesis' is as epic as anything the legendary composer has ever written," the web site said. "Even the musicians themselves gave Goldsmith repeated ovations during the recording sessions and a triumphant round of applause on completion. This is unquestionably the most aggressive Star Trek score ever. Ingeniously dark textures are mixed with action music that soars to apocalyptic heights. Classic Goldsmith!"

Although it won't be released until next month, the soundtrack is available for pre-order at online retailer Amazon.com. To order the CD and support TrekToday, head over to this page.
