Hello World!

I started reading 'Magician' by Raymond E. Feist today.

I picked it up because this author has collaborated on a series wiht my favourite writer, Janny Wurts. However, that series takes place amongst the background to a wider world, so I figured it would be best to start at the beginning.

I'm enjoying it so far. However, I have two major problems. The book does shift around rahter a lot, between different sets of characters and spans of time. I find this rather annoying. It's possible to blink and suddenly a matter of years will have passed.

The second problem concerns the name of the main character. I'm finding it so hard to take seriously a character called PUG. Sigh.
