Jeffrey Combs will return to the Paramount lot next week to film his third Enterprise appearance as Shran.

The Andorian will appear in the episode 'Cease Fire', Combs told German news site TrekZone.de. "It's now official. I'm returning for another episode about the Andorians! We start shooting around the 20th of November until around the 4th of December. Shran is back."

Enterprise episodes usually take between seven and eight days to shoot, so the extended filming schedule for 'Cease Fire' is likely due to the Thanksgiving holiday period, which falls in the middle of production. Due to his Enterprise commitment, Combs will be unable to attend the upcoming Hamburg convention, which was scheduled for November 22-24.

According to rumoured plot details revealed Thursday, 'Cease Fire' will see the Andorians request a meeting with Captain Archer at one of their colonies. However, when the shuttlepod containing Archer, T'Pol and Vulcan Ambassador Soval appears to have been shot down by the blue-skinned aliens and all communications are blocked, Trip must work with a Vulcan commander to rescue his shipmates.

'Cease Fire' will be the third Enterprise appearance by Combs in his role as Shran after 'The Andorian Incident' and 'Shadows of P'Jem'. The actor is probably best known to Trek fans as the wily Vorta Weyoun on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
