Creation Entertainment will celebrate the 40th birthday of Star Trek with a pair of conventions in Chicago and Sacramento with original series stars William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy.

"September 8, 1966...a date that changed the face of television and launched a legacy that gave humanity hope for a better future," declared Creation on its web site, announcing small, intimate gatherings with the Kirk and Spock actors that will seat only 1000 fans each.

Early bird reservations are being accepted now for the celebrations, which will offer the best theatre seating, a champagne toast with Shatner and Nimoy, autographs and a "spectacular collectible gift...designed specifically to celebrate the 40th Anniversary."

The price for early bird registration is $399, and comes with wristband access so that fans don't have to wait during the weekend and a 40th anniversary party.

Information on the gatherings in Chicago and Sacramento is available now from Creation with more details on additional guests to follow.
