[Update:] Unfortunately there won't be a news update today beyond the Site Columns. The reason is that I bought a USB ISDN adapter for my laptop this afternoon, which I should just have been able to plug in the machine and start using to connect to the internet with. Unfortunately, the ISDN adapter only connected to my ISP once, and after that stopped working completely. Going to the configuration program caused my mouse to stop function, and after I tried a reinstall for some reason my display adapter also got de-installed. It's fairly late now, so I decided to just reinstall all of Windows '98 tomorrow morning, and I'll update the site immediately after that. Fortunately there doesn't seem to be any major news, though I did receive a great new article for the Trek Nation, but I'll put that up tomorrow as well. My apologies for this.

Hello World!

I hope I'll be able to see 'Galaxy Quest' before the sequel comes out in America. Ever since we heard of the film, a friend and I have been planning to see it, originally thinking it would come out in late March. Every few weeks, however, we always got another disappointment when we looked at the film's release date page on the IMDB. From April, it moved to June, from June to July, and now it's scheduled to be released on the 3rd of August. The Belgians have it even worse, with the film only being released in early October, but looking at the seemingly unending postponements it isn't at all unlikely the Dutch release date will also end up there.

Thanks for participating in this final poll about season six! Soon I'll put up an article summarising all the results from the polls, which should hopefully become a yearly tradition. Next year the per-episode polls will likely also be structured in the way this poll was, with you being able to choose ten options instead of the previous five, which should give more accurate episode ratings.

Please also participate in our new poll, asking if you saw the two indie films related to Trek, 'Free Enterprise' and 'Trekkies'. Thanks go out to Brian Sanford for the poll suggestion!
