By Antony
April 16, 2003 - 1:00 PM

William Shatner will this month be hosting his 13th Hollywood Charity Horse Show. But this time, he's bringing a friend, after persuading Leonard Nimoy (Spock) to join the fundraiser.

Nimoy will take part in the celebrity team penning competition. He will be tested on his ability to round up cattle or other animals.

The HCHS will take place at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center from 24 - 27 April 2003, with the main events taking place on the 26th, according to an article at STARTREK.COM. The event will raise money for Ahead With Horses, "a therapeutic riding program for severely handicapped children", and LA's BEST, "an acclaimed after-school enrichment program in the Los Angeles area."

Shatner is a long-time horse rider, and after starring in Generations has gone horse riding with Patrick Stewart (Picard). The two also shared horse riding scenes together in the film.
