Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine) is set to star in 'Down With Love' alongside Ewan McGregor.

According to entertainment news agency MRIB (via Yahoo! News) the Star Trek: Voyager actress will star in a romantic comedy homage to the early 60s' sex comedies. McGregor plays a womanising journalist who meets a best-selling female advice writer (Renee Zellweger) and turns her life upside down. There is currently no information on Ryan's role.

The 20th Century Fox romantic comedy is currently filming, and is due for a April 2003 release in the US. It's directed by Peyton Reed who was also director for the hit cheerleading film 'Bring it On'. It's penned by Eve Ahlert and Dennis Drake, who worked on 'Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde'.

The film also stars Michael Ensign. Ensign is a long-time Trek guest star, first appearing in TNG back in the fourth season's 'First Contact' as Security Minister Krola. He has also played Ambassador Lojal in DS9's 'The Forsaken' and the Bard in VOY's 'False Profits', and will be appearing as Dr. Oratt in the upcoming Enterprise episode 'Stigma'.

Ryan's last major film role was Dracula 2000, which she filmed whilst working on Voyager. She played a reporter-turned-vampire in this supernatural flick produced by Wes Craven. After Voyager finished, she landed a role as Ronnie Cookie in Fox's 'Boston Public'.
